I am an eager adventurer, pop culture enthusiast, reader, writer, thinker and forever a student of design.
As someone who enjoys writing, I could sit all day and bore people to death with my story, but instead I'll offer the cliff notes.
I was born in Suffolk, England to a British mother and an American father, a product of the 'special relationship' our countries have and the US Airforce bases in my home county. As a result I had an interesting upbringing moving around the world dependant on where my father's job took us and a strange mishmash of British and American culture welded to my personality. As a small child, this constant moving was how my love for creating first developed, having little to do on eleven hour flights but draw.
At one year old I moved to Anchorage, Alaska where I first went to Kindergarten, (what an awfully long and complicated word for children to say) and where my only sibling, my sister, was born. After two years in the snow I moved back to the country of my birth where I spent most of my childhood, developing the accent and making many of my closest friendships. I then moved once more to the US to New Mexico, a state I hadn't heard of until that point. Here I discovered my love for adventure, enjoying the vastly different environment from England by climbing cliffs and exploring desert ravines and dunes. Just as I learnt to enjoy the state where quite tellingly, they decided to test the first nuke, we were moved once more back to England. I finished up my mandatory education and having decidedly not enjoyed maths very much, did my very best to avoid it as much as possible, instead pursuing my love for creativity.
While attending an open evening for West Suffolk College I was preparing to have a look at the fine art course they offered but when asked what I was there for, "Graphic design," tumbled out of my mouth. I'd always been interested in design for practical applications such as advertising but I'd never really understood it until that point. After a brief talk with a lecturer I knew I'd made the right decision.
Fast forward five years and I have finished my degree at the Cambridge School of Art. I have now made the move to Phoenix, Arizona where I am currently working for Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, advertising household Liquor and Wine brands such as Absolute, Jaegermeister, Jim Beam, Bacardi and many more.
Graphic Designer at Southern Glazer Wine & Spirits
March, 2019 – Present Phoenix, AZ
Currently I work for Southern Glazer Wine & Spirits, the largest Spirit and Wine distributor in North America, creating mostly print ads for household brands such as Absolut, Bacardi, Jim Beam, Jaegermeister, Skyy Vodka and many more. These are used all over the state of Arizona at every level of establishment from local dive bars to five star resorts.
I use a combination of the primary Adobe Suite programs, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to accomplish this and work with an incredibly diverse range of products for which I’m required to understand their various stylistic differences and present them according to our equally diverse accounts and customer base.

Freelance Designer at AP Design
2014 – Present Suffolk, UK
As a student of design for the past five years in both College and now University, currently working on the final year of my degree, it’s been critical to work on freelance projects whenever I can.
A wide array of jobs for an interesting range of clients from independent performers and local bands to the US military, I continue to do as much as I can on my own time with every medium I have at my disposal.
BA (Hons) Graphic Design at Cambridge School of Art (ARU)
September 2015 – June, 2018 Cambridge, UK
Following College I attended the Cambridge School of Art, having a love for the city and the practical ‘real world’ work of the course. Building on what I had learned at West Suffolk, I advanced into web design, animation, brand Identity, typography and campaign design in addition to refining what I already could do such as photography and illustration.
Working on live briefs from local design studios such as The District and One Space media built my confidence in putting together presentations and selling my ideas to a client. In addition to this, live briefs from big name brands like Sony and Penguin Publishing taught me to identify target audiences and how to best market to various demographics.
UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design (QCF) at West Suffolk College
September, 2013 – July, 2015 Suffolk, UK
I studied graphic design for two years in my hometown of Bury St Edmunds immediately after High School where I was awarded the overall grade of Distinction for my work.
During this time I learnt the fundamentals of the Adobe Creative Suite as well as participating in live briefs with clients such as The SyFy channel, The Mix and Talk Talk mobile. The latter of which I got to the final round of a contest held at CHI & Partners London for my work.
